Tuck & Patti @ Yoshi's SF 11/28/2010

I've been a fan of Tuck and Patti since the 8th grade. Mr. Pizani and Nikki would play Tuck & Patti while we would stretch during color guard practice. I know that not only I, but most of us fell in love with Tuck and Patti during that time. I've been fortunate enough to have seen Tuck and Patti live twice before. Each and every time I see them, they blow my mind! This time I was able to share my love for them with my 14 year old. I think if it's one thing that John and I have passed down to our kids, it's our love for music, and our love for live music.

I was excited to take Sarah to this show because it is a very different type of show. Just 2 people on stage, Tuck with a guitar, and Patti with just her voice. Very intimate, and very personal. This was not a hip hop show, a rock or a pop show, so this was definitely a totally different atmosphere for her. She might have been the youngest one there!!

Since I've babbled on and on about my experiences, let me let Sarah tell you hers:

I've never heard about Tuck & Patti until that night when i went to the show. I didn't know what to expect, at first I thought it was just this young couple singing some jazz. But when they came onto the stage, it was the complete opposite. Both of them had a very unique sense of style, and they blew me away with their music. Once Patti started singing, i was just in awe. Hearing her voice sent chills down my spine, she was amazing. My mom was telling me about how much of a great guitar player Tuck was, but i had to hear it to believe it. Tuck came on stage, and did his solo songs. Once he hit that first note, i had goosebumps all over my body. The way he would play it, it would seem so easy to do. Listening, and watching him play, mesmerized me. That night at the show, really showed me what people can be capable of. Me personally, am very passionate about music, especially piano. I've been playing since i was 4 yrs. old, and has never stopped. Seeing Tuck & Patti, made me realize that I can pursue what i am really passionate about, and that nothing can stop me. That night was a fun and great experience. =)
